I Stepped out of my car;
The air wasn't mellow;
The air wasn't mellow;
The sun was warm ;
The wind was calm.
The wind was calm.
With Mangalore tiles
and painted yellow-
and painted yellow-
A farmer’s house
by the coconut palm.
by the coconut palm.
The door was locked;
The well was dry;
The well was dry;
No sign of life-
Can you guess why?
Can you guess why?
Once green and fertile-
His paddy land;
His paddy land;
Now My site –

ReplyDeleteHello Ashok,
ReplyDeleteLovely photo and a lovely poem penned down by stating the actual situation. Many old houses and structures are being dismantled and lying in ruins on account of development and modernity. Paddy fields being destroyed for high rise buildings or laying roads. Man destroys nature in the name of development and progress. Well, future generations will suffer in the long run.
Best wishes,
Joseph
