A visit to Spain for any architect is incomplete without a visit to Gaudí 's greatest work - the Sagrada Familia. It was surreal for me as I approached the grand church building .... which I have studied as part of curriculum in architecture school.
The fact that the building is still under construction after more than 140 years after laying the cornerstone is astounding.

The interior looks so amazing
ReplyDeleteThe Sagrada is an amazing cathedral. It looks like it's more finished than it was when I visited in 2009. Thanks for sharing these photos.
ReplyDeleteVisiting the Sagrada Familia must have been an incredible experience, especially after studying it in architecture school. Seeing Gaudí's masterpiece in person, with all its intricate details and grandeur, must have felt surreal. The fact that it's still under construction after over 140 years is a testament to the ambition and complexity of the design. The Nativity façade, in particular, is so breathtaking, with its elaborate sculptures that depict the birth of Christ in a way that only Gaudí could. It’s amazing to think how this architectural marvel continues to evolve.
