Bangla walking street

Phuket nightlife experience isn't complete unless you take a walk in the notorious 400m long Bangla walking street. The street is closed to traffic after sunset and comes alive in a festive mood with neon lights, loud music and crazy tourists! The walk is challenging as you have to dodge around cannibe vendors, ping pong show touts, pubs & restaurant tout with placards and street performers. Apart from the main street, every side alley has something to explore. As you walk past the beer bars, the ladies of the bar show the menu and try to convince you to step in. You can see ladies inside performing pole dance and entertaining the crowd inside. Many bars also have amazing live music by local bands. I was surprised to see that cannibies are legal here and are sold in attractive weed shops that are sometimes called dispensaries! The side alleys offer a wide variety of street sea food. The street ends in the Patong beach.

  3. What a lively and colourful place, this street. When I was in Amsterdam recently, cannabis can be found sold in some shops. The lingering smell of smoked weed is always in the air. :)
