Visit to Bangkok is incomplete without a visit to the famous Chatuchak weekend market. With over 15000 stalls, its said to be the largest weekend market in the world. You can complete your entire Bangkok shopping experience in this place provided you are ready to walk. The full market opens on weekends and only a smaller section opens on fridays.
You can find everything here - clothing, souvenirs, bags, cosmetics, jewellery, etc. I did my entire purchase for my family and friends here at a very reasonable price ( with a bit of bargaining).Unfortunately we could only spend few hours here due to our busy schedule and couldn't explore the full market. shopaholics can easily spend a day here and still feel its not enough!
