We traveled to Pondicherry, the French beach town of India to end the year 2022. The last time I had been to Pondy was almost two and a half decades ago when I was doing my Masters. Then it was a quite town that still retained its French connections and looked colorful and Mediterranean in architecture and lifestyle. But today it has lost some of its charm with an exploded population, traffic congestion and messy tourists.

It may be messy and filled with tourists but I'd never know that by these beautiful photos. You truly captured a lovely spot that looks delightful to visit. I'm sorry it has so changed but somehow you managed to find what matters.

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful little town!
ReplyDeleteLovely place to visit.
ReplyDeleteYou captured the beauty of the place. Lots of tourists do put a blemish on places, we have them in the summer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sets.
ReplyDeleteIt looks really lovely. I hope you had a great trip.
ReplyDeleteThe bird boxes are very cool.
ReplyDeleteLovely captures! Sad that excessive commercialization has spoilt the beauty of Pondy.
ReplyDeleteFun photos and memories. I'm always wondering when we are out in the traffic what the other people are doing? Why don't they go home! Love seeing these photos.
ReplyDeleteI liked glimpse of Pondicherry !
ReplyDeleteYes growing population and traffic rising of buildings spoils genuine beauty of place.
Second last shot is my favourite
By your photos, this looks like a lovely place. I would like to go inside the church with the stained glass windows.
