As a roadside profession, it has long disappeared here, in my neck of the woods. There are still some side little shops where sewing is done , usually by a female.
The wonderful sewing machine alone is a great discovery! It is a pity that there are already few of this professional group to see. In India we only saw one street shop where ironing was done with an old coal iron, which we also found very interesting. What a profound, thoughtful photo. Between company last week, prepping for a Cork Poppers do, an ear and/or sinus infection, and then this week's mass shooting in our town, I'm so behind blog reading, I'll never catch up! I'll try to take a look at all but not comment and hopefully be back on schedule this week!
Great photo! Valerie
ReplyDeleteLove this photo! Yes, it truly is a profession disappearing.

ReplyDeleteYou're right! Young people don't like that job.
Nice street view.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Your street scenes remind me of our years in Bolivia back in the late 70s. Make me homesick in a good way.
ReplyDeleteLovely capture, having a rest or no work at the present.
ReplyDeleteSeems fed up! Lovely street capture.

Nicely composed shot and yes he looks very tired, and no doubt very hard working.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture. He must see everything that happens around the area where he sits
ReplyDeleteHe reflects the state of every other like him.
