PCS house - a riot of colors!









I had designed this house for Mr.P.Chandrashekar's family in 2004, just before I left for Kabul. I experimented with a play of curves and colours. We made sure that the beautiful mango and neem trees in the site were preserved. The house is planned around a Courtyard that let's in abundant light and ventilation.A small but delightful project.

    I really love the arches and curves inside. It makes for a much more interesting interior. And the colors are great. And oh, that light!

    i like it - and the courtyard. I once had an atrium where I lived for almost thirty years and loved it - it was in the center of the house basically. I also love that orange color. I often thought (we rent now)... if I ever owned a house again I would do at least one room or wall in orange.
