Our 3rd day in Phuket started with the visit to the Tiger park and followed by the climb to the famous Big Buddha, sitting atop Nakkerd Hill. The work at the base and surrounding areas is still going on but the Buddha is finished nicely in Burmese white marble. The total height of the concrete statue is 45m and is said to be the 3rd tallest in Thailand. The place has a breath taking view of Phuket and the sea beyond.
