In Phuket I was surprised not to find the iconic 3 wheeler auto rickshaws popularly called 'Tuk Tuks' in this part of the world. Their equivalent in Phuket are the modified mini vans or trucks with bench seats. They come is all sorts of bright colors, usually reds. But you can find a good number of yellows, blues , greens and pinks! They usually have powerful sound systems and disco lights to thrill the commuters. Some bargaining is needed but they are mostly reasonable for short city trips.
These vehicles do add a lot of color and vibrance to Phuket streets!
